Yes, you can halve a diazepam tablet, though you should really discuss this with the prescribing doctor first.
I understand the reluctance to take medication. many of us also got a 'healthy' dose with our anxiety disorder. Personally i would have preferred the steak knives! ;)

Im have anxiety due to taking a tablet i didnt really want to take for ibs and have been anxious since im feeling anxious and agitaed at the moment . my dr has prescribed me diazepam 2mg once daily if required. im nervous if i have any bad effects with it that im gunna end up feelin more anxious and worse cold i halve the tablet would that lesson any bad side effect and how long they would last? and if i felt i needed the second half later in day could i take that as well i felt the tablet worked?
