Yes, I am human too! After the TT/Twitter contest, I just kind of fell apart. I think that all the work, running, eating clean and workouts, I just kind of needed to let my mind rest. The life of a trainer is not as easy as one would think. Running here and there all the time, preparing workout for each individual client, while trying to market to get more clients. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE it, but the past couple weeks I feel like I haven’t stopped moving except when I was asleep!
This was also my week off from boot camp before the next 6 week session starts, so without my boot camp classes, I sort of let my workouts slip along with eating, clean, but a lot of carbs! I did decide before, that after the contest, I was going to take an “easy week” anyhow, which is what I have pretty much been doing. I have done 2 days of intervals for 10 minutes, Tuesday was a thrown together total body workout and this morning I did some kettle bell training, with things I knew how to do.
So how do I get back on track while being so busy? Here are some tips that I plan to follow to get me back on track and STAY on track with my busy lifestyle:
1. Plan meals
* I wrote out my meals first thing this morning
M1 and M2) Shakes (before and after workout)
M3) Turkey Sausage, Sweet Potato and eggs
M3) Turkey Breast and mixed veggies
M4) Blueberry Smoothie
M5) Chicken, Spinach and vegetable lentil pate’ ( from GN cookbook )
2. Plan workouts
*This week I am taking it easy, but am ready for next week when I am going to work in KB workouts (something new to shake things up) and boot camp 3x a week. Think I will go without intervals for a while.
3. Schedule in “ME” time
*I have already blocked off times in my training book, so that I am not running around like a crazy woman, like I have been the last couple weeks. I even took one night off! I won’t know what to do with all the time!
4. Schedule in “business” time
*I need to schedule in time to do my client work, online work and marketing every week. So I will plan those into my week, so I don’t forget anything!
If anything, setting aside time to do those things and my life will definitely be more manageable! What do you do to keep your life manageable?
