It’s been so many days now that I’ve gone without chewing-and-spitting that I’ve actually lost count. I think I’m up to like 27??
I’m definitely giving myself credit for that!!
I am feeling strong–confident, but not cocky–in that department.
I feel like I’ve gained a lot of perspective these past few weeks as my life has resumed back to “normal” without our guests.
And I am looking forward to therapy later this week (I had to skip last week because of traveling and the Jewish holiday).
I’m still doing some mindless eating from time to time … and have still had some midnight incidents … but I feel a ton better about things, as a whole. Reframing it has helped. (It’s not the end of the world. It’s not worth guilt.)
This weekend I got in a lot more activity than usual, which always boosts my self-esteem. In addition to my usual workouts, I also got in three extra bike rides, and lots of house-cleaning, puttering. Just staying on my feet means I’m burning more calories than a day at the office so it can’t be a bad thing!
(As I’ve gotten into my late-20s, I’m noticing just how critical those mid-day walks are for helping stave off “office-butt.”)
How about you? Any kudos you’d like to share? Today’s the day! Let’s start the week off right. Toot your own horn here.
