Under the last post (where this one heck of a discussion going on, I might add. PARTY!) I made mention of a few things that I thought deserved an entry of their own.
First off, I may have mentioned before that the same day I started Advair, I got a cold. This is 99% likely that that was a total coincidence.
But, what I am very much doubting is a coincidence is the fact that I forgot to take my Advair this morning at 9:30, and I green zoned until 7:40, 25 minutes after I took the Advair. Got home, checked my peak flow, and was yellow zoning again. WHAT?? I know I said to many of you if I yellow zoned again I would start the pred immediately, but, since I am almost positive I know what is causing this, I am holding off on that.
So, I am starting back on Symbicort tomorrow. I have the course of prednisone on hand just in case, but am very much hoping I don’t need it.
I talked this plan over with the pharmacist when I asked her if I had any Symbicort on file (fortunately, I did), and she seemed to think it was a good plan, and said it was likely possible for the Advair to be making me feel worse.
Hopefully, this will have me avoiding prednisone. But, if I drop into the yellow tomorrow or Saturday, I will start it right away. (Cause I know all of you will hold me accountable to that).
And seriously? You guys ROCK. I got to talk to Steve, Elisheva and Danielle this afternoon, and you all definitely made me feel a lot better than my doctor did today!
I would like to hug you all, but unfortunately, this being the Internet, that is not quite possible. Still, know that I would be hugging all of you for making me feel like less of a freak in the lung sense, and understanding my crazy brain (the one that’s procrastinating prednisone if it can help it!)
And, to all my #twittermatics for tweeting your heads off at me to get to my doc today.
Thanks, friends!
Oh, and 2 DAYS until Run for the Cure!!
