...because he's been working so many overtime hours while some of us (who?) have been out sick that he's not had time to go to the beauty shop barber until recently. No, it really was the beauty shop. Would love to have seen him in the highlighting cap under the dryer.
Had dinner with the doctor and his better half, Kristina, last night.

I didn't tell Kristina last night so instead I'll just tell the world, okay, our little circle of the only three dozen people who read this blog, that Kristina is a force to be reckoned with now. She used to be fairly mild-mannered and not very assertive when it came to Chris, as if she didn't deserve his attention and love. Well, times have changed. She's had a rough several months but in the end she's a stronger person for it and I think she realizes her worth and sees herself more the way the rest of us see her and love her. It is true that what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger. So the upshot is she's much more confident and assertive, especially with the little red-haired boy, which translates into she's pretty much cooter-whipped him into shape and he's a better man for it.
Chris has been kicking ass around the house playing Mr. Fix It, except for the garage door (how in the hell did that happen? I forgot to ask) which became Mr. Break It and Call Someone Else to Fix It. He's been a painting, plastering, trimming fool lately and everything looks fab-oh-lust. Great job, pumpkin.
Oh, and by the way, Chris. I cannot believe you said to Gene "Yeah, but even when she was trashing you, she always said you had a big cock." I nearly spewed tea when you said that but, you know, I think it was perfect. And true. I alwasy said he's a good man, that I love him, and that he has a big cock. I just also said I was mad because my life wasn't where I thought it would be and that he wasn't acting the way I thought he should.
Great line. Thank you for your honesty.
