 I've been home since spring break waiting for, living with and again waiting for chicken pox. I have 2 unvaccinated children so I assumed it was my lot in life and thought that it was good that they got it young anyway. What seems really stupid is that Timothy, who is fully vaccinated, now has chicken pox. The DAN! doctor suspects that he started his ocd, tics, etc. after he was "caught up" in his vaccines when he was 6.I won't even get into the autism/vaccine deal. You can tell Timothy that he will get a lesser case, but that doesn't really matter to the 10 year old who is missing out on the birthday swim party. It doesn't matter that it's a lesser case when he is missing a week of school, and counts everyday precious because he knows he won't be returning next year. Seems to me, if he was like his youngest brother and got it when he was 2, it might have had less impact on his life... I followed the system and the system has failed me. - Julee  |
