a slightly high blood count

Hi
Im a 28 year old female and i have been suffering from scatica and several other unexplained pains in my body. Ive gained weight over the last few years, ive been at a loss of energy and my back and neck feel very tensed and stressed plus i have suffered from chronic constipation. My doctor ordered a complete blood count tests and in the results my white blood count is slightly higher. i think my doctors initial concern was leukemia but the report indicates otherwise. what could this possibly be?
