San Francisco Chiropractor and Spinal Decompression Doctor comments:
Sure, it's mostly chiropractors that treat patients with the DRX9000. But...there are lots of medical doctors that use the DRX9000 and the DRX9000c also. Most of the M.D.'s that incorporate spinal decompression into their treatment protocols seem to be on the East Coast.
I'm not sure why this is...maybe it's because the manufacturer of the DRX9000, Axiom Worldwide is located in Tampa...and Axiom is very active with the medical trade shows and conferences back there. But in reality...I really have no idea.
What I do know, is it only makes sense that chiropractors would treat more patients with spinal decompression...because it fits right in with our drugless, nonsurgical, treatment approach by helping the body to heal itself. The DRX9000 helps the spine and the spinal discs to do what they would...if they could. Just like a respirator helps the lungs to breath when they are unable to do so on their own.
The DRX9000 does this by helping the injured disc exchange nutrients with the blood stream by gently isolating on a specific spinal segment and pumping the disc...which is what the spinal bones do to the disc...when everything is working right. This pumping action forces toxins out of the disc...and nutrients into the disc (from the capillaries of the bloodstream).
The DRX9000 spinal decompression machine also creates what's called a "negative pressure". It's able to negate the forces of gravity (on the spine) because of the way the table is designed...which somehow enables herniated disc fragments to be sucked back into the center of the disc. To be honest...I don't completely understand how this happens...but (the physics) it is similar to when a car that has a bulging tire is lifted up on a hydraulic lift and the bulge goes back into the tire.
The bulge on the tire would come right back out if the car were put back on the ground...but it is not living tissue...the spinal disc is.
The disc is able to take advantage of this anti-gravity state and heal a little bit from the fresh nutrients and passage of waste products. Then, the next day we do it again...in fact we do this 20 times in 5-6 weeks...that's how it works.
The DRX9000 decompression machine was designed specifically to treat bulging and herniated lumbar and cervical discs... it really is amazing technology. If you have herniated discs in the low back...or herniated discs in the neck...you owe it to yourself to check out the DRX9000 nonsurgical spinal decompression system.
If you would like to find out if you are a candidate for nonsurgical spinal decompression with the DRX9000 at our San Francisco Decompression Center...simply call 415-392-2225 and ask for a complimentary DRX consultation.
