Ok, 4 Days later and my eyes are still swollen! I don't see any change from this time yesterday! I am going to give it a couple of hours before I call the Doc, I mean my hands are swollen too, maybe it will go down after I drink some water. I just had my cold gel pack on and I actually do notice a change from yesterday. And the swelling in the back is gone. Yesterday I still had a big welt on the pin site in the back on the left but today it is gone. I really wish the swelling around my eyes would go away. I went to the store yesterday and I felt like a freak! At least I don't have any burning or tingling, just itching! I even heard from someone that their hair hurt. So I guess it could be worse!
There is something else I've noticed since the G.K. I don't sleep as much. Before my original surgery I used to sleep about 6-7 hours. Thats all I needed, if I got more I was tired all day. After the surgeries I needed more sleep. After a couple of months I got my stamina back and needed less sleep, but after this last surgery that didn't happen. Granted only 2 months has gone by and factor in that I have nothing to do, but even if I go to the store I get so tired so easily. Now I don't. I mean I haven't been out all day or anything, but I wake up without an alarm after 6-7 hours of sleep when just a week ago I would sleep for 9 hours. I have no idea if it is related, just something I have noticed. I know I have said that I have an issue with insomnia, but it is mostly that it takes me forever to get to sleep. I have been taking pm's lately to help me get to sleep, especially with the pain from the pin sites. I don't think any kind of insomnia has anything to do with me needing less sleep, but it could have had something to do with me needing more sleep. Who knows. Again, just something I've noticed.
