Can you give me possible causes for the following CT results?

CT of head after an automobile accident, I have no knowledge of hitting my head, but continued to have headaches. Results :hyperdense 7 x 4 mm area in right caudate head.No mass effect present.Mild atrophy present.May respresent hemorrhage versus calcification. I am scheduling an MRI but was looking for some info. I am RN but work in OB so this is totally not my area. Help
