My leg is getting better, I am able to walk up stairs pretty normally now, it takes some effort and some time but I can do it. But my head still feels weird. I still get this feeling like something is shaking inside. I think I described it before like the chills without actually having the chills, thats kinda what it feels like. I am still a bit paranoid about getting an infection, so it worries me a bit, but I am pretty sure that I am infection free, at least I don't have any of the signs of infection that I did last time, my skin flap is flat on my head, when before when I had the infection it was puffed above my head, because of the puss growing inside. The incision site is still a bit sensitive though. I go see my NS on Tues so I should be able to find out then if there is any possibility of infection after that. I know he is worried about it too. If he thinks we are in the clear then I should be good to go after that.
I am still having some issues with balance and the whole vertigo type feeling. I don't think its actually vertigo, but its similar, and its a very strange feeling. Yesterday was the day I went down to 1mg of steroids in my weening process and its when I start feeling all weird again. Coincidence? Possible. I will still be weening off the steroids when I see my NS, or will just be finishing, so I won't know if I will be getting the bad headaches again, lets hope not. I hope that part is over with. though I have had a headache off and on all day today. Not too bad though. Took some tylenol and that took care of it earlier. May take some again soon.
I am down to my last 3 physical therapy appointments. I called the doctor to see if she could write a letter of medical necessity and she called back saying she needed to see me first so I have an appointment with her next week. So I canceled my pt appointment for tomorrow and have only one scheduled for next week so that I can have two more weeks of appointments while I am waiting for approval for more. I have mom here to help me do exercises until Oct 1 so that will help. I just hope the insurance company approves it. I really need the extra appointments. I need to get my leg working again! I need to get my life back.
