I forgot to mention this when I talked about getting my new driver's license, they took my thumb print as well as my picture. Must be part of the new "Real ID" thing that is supposed to start this year. I just saw something on the news about identification and it made me think about it. Now my thumb print is in the system! Weird, I kinda like it though, because you can't steal someone's identity if you have to deal with finger prints, well you can, but that's very complicated for just trying to use their credit and it's not very easy. So I guess it all goes to which is more important, our privacy or our safety. Personally I would rather the gov't have my finger prints and me keep my identity without someone being able to steal it, then have my finger prints all to myself, but that's just me.
