Dem bones

Posted Jan 15 2009 7:53pm

Okay ladies and gents. If you’re taking any medications that effect your bones it’s time to bump up the calcium. Special warning to anyone like me, who is taking Femara or other aromatase inhibitors. Some of these suckers just love bone (and teeth for that matter). Femara has been shown to cause a decrease of 8% of bone density per year. So while I make jokes that I’m going to fall and break my hip, my odds are actually higher. So now I’m taking a bone pill per my doctor and bumping up my calcium, D and magnesium.

Now, does this mean we get to eat more ice cream?
