An auspicious start to the day:
Letter of the day is V: very vivacious letter
(Cookie Monster, Sesame Street, November 6, 2008)
Vivi feels pretty awful today. She is throwing up a lot, which we expected because of yesterday's Cisplatin. On top of that, she is coughing, has a runny nose, has fluid behind one eardrum and keeps having unsuccessful urine collection bags inflicted on her.
But, when I walked into her room this morning and she opened her eyes and saw me, she beamed with such joy. She was obviously happy to see that Mommy was with her today. Right now, she is tuckered out. She watched Ses, of course, and then danced a bit. I was kicking her legs for her in time with the music, and when I would let go, she kept going. Off rhythm of course, but still very proud of herself.
