MRI results are really not the most important thing going on for us. We really look daily more to how Vivienne is doing, how well she is mastering her skills, showing us she is happy and excited and loving life.
So, here are a few things going on in the Vivi-verse:
- Vivi has mastered supported-sitting, and semi-independent sitting. A big deal for a baby with a spinal cord tumor!
- Vivi has gained weight significantly: She was about 4.6 kg a month ago, 5.0 last week and 5.2 this week. For those like me who don't speak metric, 5.2kg is about 11.5 pounds. Babies are expected to about double their birth weight by 6 months, which would put Vivienne at a goal of 14 pounds.
- Vivienne can roll over from back to front and arch up to 90 degrees.
- Her favorite games are to kick the blanket off of her feet over and over, practicing waving and learning Peekaboo.
- Vivi is really curious; in the gift shop at the Pink Palace museum she was examining everything she could see with real interest.
- She is getting stronger all the time.
