So here we go again. The headaches are back. But this time with a vengence. It's something that only a fellow Chiarian can relate to. A little history for those who don't know: In 1999 I was diagnoised with a rare disorder by the NAME of Chiari Malformaiton 1 if you've never heard of it, google it. It is a very rare disorder where part of my brain is not enclosed in my skull but purtruded thru the hole in the base N into the spinal column. This casuses a compression issue as the only thing that should be here is the spinal cord which in turn connects to the brain stem. This compression causes so many issues I couldnt begin to list them all here.
At any rate I started having severe migraines and what I call brain zapps on the 19th on Sept. I have learned thru years of pain to document my headaches in my journal. After 2 visits to ER and several DR visits the decision was made for me to stop working for a bit and have decompression and spinal surgery. The problem with this is there isnt a DR in the state thats done many of these surgeries and I'm really scared.
I also have a disorder by the name of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, again google if you never heard of it. The possible side effects of the surgery are not very good.
Please pray for me.
