Samdani AF, Asghar J, Pahys J, D'Andrea L, Betz RR. Concurrent spinal cord untethering and scoliosis correction: case report. Spine. 2007 Dec 15;32(26):E832-6.
The authors describe the case of a 15-year-old boy with severe kyphoscoliosis and descent of the spinal cord to L4. He did well following surgery for both the scoliosis and tethered cord.

Dauvilliers Y, Stal V, Abril B, Coubes P, Bobin S, Touchon J, Escourrou P, Parker F, Bourgin P. Chiari malformation and sleep related breathing disorders. J Neurol Neurosurg Psychiatry. 2007 Dec;78(12):1344-8. Epub 2007 Mar 30.
Forty patients with CM-I and 6 with CM-II were studied. A high percentage of sleep apnea was found: 70% in CM-I and 50% in CM-II.

Al-Otibi M, Jea A, Kulkarni AV. Detection of important venous collaterals by computed tomography venogram in multisutural synostosis. Case report and review of the literature. J Neurosurg. 2007 Dec;107(6 Suppl):508-10
CT venography performed on an 18-month-old child with multisutural craniosynostosis from Crouzon syndrome revealed engorgement of vertebral and paravertebral veins. Based on these findings, a decision was made to forgo a Chiari decompression due to the added risk.

The first reported case of bilateral 6th nerve palsies and facial weakness occurring together in a person with CM-I. The deficits resolved 2 months after decompression.
