Got a call last night that they had a last minute cancelation at the EEG lab, so we're headed to the hospital first thing tomorrow morning for S's follow up hearing test (the ABR). We had to run over to the ped. last night to make sure that there was no fluid or wax in her ears. The NP said that she had a lot of trouble seeing the left ear drum because the ear canal is so small (we've heard this before). She cautioned that even if S doesn't pass the test in the left ear, it may be because the canal is so small (it will grow as she grows) that the nod thingie they stick in there is causing the canal to kinda collapse on itself. I'm hoping that things go well but fell like if she doesn't pass this one, we're just going to wait until her 6 month follow up with Blue Ridge and see how that goes.
