why is my daughter getting bruises on her neck for no reason at all?

my daughter started getting bruises on both sides of her neck. the bruising are in the same area as the corodid artery (sorry if i didnt spell it right). i thought it was nothing at first. i even asked her if she was having problem at school. the bruises are getting darker and darker as the weeks go by. i am very nervous for my child. can someone please give me an answer?
