I have had now for about 3 years a pain running down the side of my thigh.

The doctor does not know where this pain comes from. I have had a shot of cortisone in my thigh a few years back. It cleared the pain for a few month but then it came right back. Last summer I did a lot of swimming and the pain disappeared, but again a few months later it was back. I suspect all this comes from a pinched nerve in my back but the doctor disagrees. When I was a young girl I had a skiing accident and broke my other leg in 14 bits. Consequently my leg shortened by a centimeter and a half. This has never bothered me as I actually still ski. The pain is very sharp, like a knife stab, unconvenient but bearable. Please let me know whether you have an answer.
