The MONSTER

Have you ever named your migraines? Have you ever called it something else?

One day during a conversation with a friend on the phone I told her that my MONSTER was back...Of course, she said what?....I really did not mean to name the migraine..it kind of just came out...Then a few weeks later I was talking to her again and she asked if my MONSTER was back..Their the name was born...Its so fitting to call it that too...What does a MONSTER do...Don't they attack you and you have to fight with all your might to get them off you or to leave you alone...

That's what a migraine is...A FIGHT....So now I call it my MONSTER..Funny tho that when I use that word, people seem to open up more to me...I think it is that they know I am talking about something bad or something that is hurting me...And they don't feel stupid for asking what is a migraine if I say I have another migraine...We all can relate to a MONSTER of some kind...The scary movie when we were kids...The whatever in your life you are fighting with...We all have MONSTERS to deal with..

Sometimes my MONSTER wins the fight....Sometimes he stays for a long visit and sometimes I am able to kick his butt...
