Why can't a MRI or CT find the cause of leg pain only whn I lay down?

Well over a yr I have had this pain that started in gorin/hop area. It now goes down leg past calf. It feels like a pain in the bone, if there is such a way to describe it. I'm tired of taking Advil PM to sleep and that doesn't get me through the night.
Have had xray, MRI, Ct...nothing they see could cause the pain. Some arthiritis developing, aging issues I guess at 58 I can expect it. But the pain is making it impossible to sleep. Who/where should I turn next? My MD suggests Yoga and meditation. The pain is VERY REAL. Have had bouts of bursitus in hip in past.
I don't deal well with the idea of constant medication and I am exhausted from this.
