We've created a new information section for the Vibrant Living Newsletter we're calling "Your Health Watch."

We'll be featuring articles about current health issues, perspectives on healthy lifestyles, and interviews with leading alternative health experts.

To kick things off, here are the first of the Your Health Watch Series.

CONTAMINANTS IN YOUR BOTTLED WATER
In the ten bottled water brands tested, thirty-eight different contaminates were found by the public health activist group Environmental Working Group. Two brands (Wal-mart's Sam's Choice and Giant Food's Acadia) violated state and industry standards.

WHY PURIFIED AND DISTILLED WATER IS BAD FOR YOU
During nearly 19 years of clinical practice I have had the opportunity to observe the health effects of drinking different types of water. Most of you would agree that drinking unfiltered tap water could be hazardous to your health because of things like parasites, chlorine, fluoride and dioxins. Many health fanatics, however, are often surprised to hear me say that drinking purified water on a regular, daily basis is potentially dangerous.

ALL ABOUNT REBOUNDING FOR AEROBIC HEALTH
Rebounding knows no social boundaries and has no age limitations. Exercise guru Jack LaLanne often demonstrated rebounding on his popular T.V. exercise program. Comedian Bob Hope once noted "I keep my rebounder at the foot of my bed and use it daily." Morning talk show host Regis Philbin enjoyed a rebounding session during one of his interviews with fitness expert and nutritionist to the stars, Rheo Blair, on his 1970's "A.M. Los Angeles" television program. A rebounder even found its way into the White House during the Reagan administration!

12 QUESTIONS TO ASK BEFORE EATING SPLENDA
1. What exactly is Splenda?
A: In a simple sentence, you would just as soon have a pesticide in your food as sucralose because sucralose (Splenda) is a chlorocarbon. The chlorocarbons have long been known for causing organ, genetic, and reproductive damage. It should be no surprise, therefore, that the testing of sucralose reveals that it can cause up to 40 percent shrinkage of the thymus: a gland that is the very foundation of our immune system.
