I’ve noticed an odd thing about myself. No matter what the reason, good or bad, I hate schedule changes. Photo by RubyRan
Now that I’m on the path to getting organized, I like to see my day go as planned. I have my schedule of time blocked off for certain tasks. I have my daily to-do list. I’m happy with that. Then there comes a change.
I find that I’m pretty set in my ways. I don’t want to go away if it isn’t planned, and I certainly don’t want to go in to work on a day off. I just want to own my day.
The gripe I have with it is how it will impact my workout schedule. I’m really trying to get back on track. I’m succeeding too. A set routine works best for me.
Take today for instance. I really didn’t feel like walking. It was damp and misty. I woke up later than usual. I did it though. I gave myself the you-got-to-do-it speech.
How to handle this latest schedule change? The only way around it is through it, I guess. I’ll workout later when I get home. It won’t be that bad.
