Turns out, not much. Cigarettes put the diesel engine to shame but emitting about3 timesthe amount of pollution. This is just another unappealing analogy that will hopefully help some people quit. And if it doesn't help you quit, then at the very least don't smoke in the car with other people or in the house/apartment/condo if you live with other people. And definitely not around kids; yours or other people's. I know that many smokers feel they have been demonized for smoking and that people look down on them. It's not about being a bad or good person, it's about behavoirs that are harmful to the health of others. If the Dalai Lama smoked cigarrettes in a car with other people or children, this would be just as frowned upon -- good person, harmful behavoir. TC |
