I grew up in Wisconsin and moved to the SF Bay Area in 1998. I love to hike and rollerblade, but I work at a desk job (student services & administration) so I've found it a challenge to get enough exercise. I've recently started working out on my lunch hours and walking on days I don't go to the gym. I can't believe how much better I feel! I love it!
I like doing exercise with music and have fun during the workout. I enjoy gourmet food. So I need more exercise. The only problem is not having regular time to commit my plan.
I am a biologist by training, a computer geek by nature and do clinical research as my day job. For fun I bead, crochet, knit, cross stitch/needlepoint, paint, make candles, do tie dye and any other crafts I come across.
Just started grad school at Stanford. After gaining about 40 pounds in undergrad I've been trying to better myself by making it a goal to be more healthy from now on.
