This trip has been planned since January; I didn’t know if I’d be able to make it, when we learned about Avery’s heart. But now, more than ever, I appreciate the chance to try and give a little bit back to the Down syndrome community which has supported me and my family so generously. And I’m especially looking forward to meeting other heart moms!
