Feeling Nostalgic

With my high school reunion coming up, I can't help but to get all nostalgic. 20 years ago, I was a senior in high school. I have reconnected to a lot of old high school friends these past few months thanks to Facebook. And recently I did one of those tags on Facebook regarding high school. I thought it would be fun to post it here plus a few pics from way back when.

1. Did you date someone from your school? No, I was dating someone from our rival school.

2. Did you marry someone from your high school? I almost married the guy from our rival school, but I broke it off after 4 years.

3. Did you car pool to school? Sometimes my friend Alison and I rode together we lived a few doors down from each other.

4. What kind of car did you have? 1981 Toyota Celica Hatchback

5. What kind of car do you have now? Chevy Venture (van)

6. It's Friday night... where are you (then)? Either working at the local high school hangout (Dairy Queen) or out with my boyfriend.

7. It is Friday night... where are you (now)? At work at the hospital

8. What kind of job did you have in high school? Dairy Queen and I can still make those curls!

9. What kind of job do you do now? Registered Nurse on a Neurospine Telemetry Unit and a clinical instructor at one of the Nursing Schools here and of course I am a MOM!

10. Were you a party animal? On occasions, but not most of the time.

11. Were you considered a flirt? I don't think so.

12. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? Not in Senior year, but I was a dancer in our marching band for my 10th and 11th grades.

13. Were you a nerd? Only in senior year because I wanted to make sure I graduated on time.

14. Did you get suspended or expelled? no

15. Can you sing the fight song? No

16. Who was/were your favorite teacher? I don't remember any of them.

17. Where did you sit during lunch? Usually drove with some friends to BK or McDonalds.

18. What was your school's full name? South Dade Senior High School

19. When did you graduate? 1989

20. What was your school mascot? Buccaneers

21. If you could go back and do it again, would you? probably not but I could do it better!

22. Did you have fun at Prom? It was okay.

23. Do you still talk to the person you went to Prom with? It's been quite a few years since I last talked to him.

24. Are you planning on going to your next reunion? I am sure trying as long as my jobs cooperate (Of course, I filled out this when I still didn't know for sure, but YES! I AM GOING!!!!)

25. Do you talk to people from school? yes thanks to Facebook!

And the horror I would have felt back then knowing I would

We went out on my dad's boat frequently. Here I was with my
niece, Courtney, who is getting married this summer while we
are down there. (And I am wearing a bathing suit under that
towel. I know it doesn't look like it, but I am!)
