Please watch this and then answer the question whether it is safe to let Obama into your child's public school:
Hard to know where to begin with this mishmash of self-help, cultural wisdom, volunteerism, psychobabble and blatant propaganda - all beautifully and seductively produced to manipulate the minds of young viewers. In other words, propaganda.
Please watch the whole thing, taking special note of:
3:02 which begins a montage of people pledging to end slavery. Excuse me, but we don't have slavery in our country. And as for the considerable number of nations that do - many involving Muslims abducting and enslaving Christians - I have not seen any American intervention. Why don't we teach our citizens to be proud that we ended slavery and to consider helping other countries end theirs?
3:15: "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama" (kissing biceps - does this mean a threat of physical violence?)
And the end group pledge:
"I pledge to be a servant to our president and all mankind."
This has come to light because it was shown in a public school assembly in Utah. Local news framed the issue thus:
Are we to presume that the quotation marks around 'leftist propaganda' means that the charge is debatable?
Has America taken leave of its senses?

[Update: I just showed this to my 16-year-old and she sat their with her mouth open. Her comment:
"I thought the President was supposed to be our servant."
That may be a strange concept for some who don't understand that the Christian ethos is one of servant-leadership (see Movie classics: lessons in leadership ).
I strongly suggest you watch this with your children and discuss it. Share their comments here too.)]
