Sunday Scripture

I missed church today because I came home and went straight to sleep. Since Ryan would be gone in the afternoon for something with his job, I thought I would sleep in the morning and be up with the kids in the afternoon. As I slept today, I dreamt or heard the words "Colossians" and "24." I couldn't sleep anymore thinking of what this might mean, and got up to look up this scripture. There is no Colossians 24. There are only 4 chapters to Colossians, so I searched for the 24th verse of each of those chapters, and only two chapters have a 24th verse. This is what those chapters said:

Colossians 1:24 ~

Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ's afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.

Colossians 1:23-24 (This one picks up mid sentence so I also included verse 23)~

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

God is certainly speaking to me. Maybe I need to start listening.
