hi..im from phillipines..i was about to read your column doc....pls..help me..i have a fistula infection in my ass...my question is..how can we prevent fistula infection...is it necessary to undergo with surgery..or treat with antibiotics....

My husband was diagnosed with metastatic adenocarcinoma of unknown primary in the peritoneum last november.. since then he has had 14 chemo cycles. But of late he has intestinal blockage due to fibrosis like adhesion. For the past almost 2 and a half months , he has been on parenteral nutrition. He cannot eat anything. Please can you suggest something for this condition! We are loosing hope!

my daughter had a double anastamosis two years ago and her follow up colonoscopy showed up pristine.  she then had it show up in her stomach.  she started remicade tx and has had very bad arthritic pain afterward.  her doctor is now touting humira.  it's the same thing.  so my question is Naltrexone an alternative for her?

I had a liver biopsy a week ago and I still have so much pain and I get very fatigue n dizzy all the time everytime I caugh or breath it hurts alot is like a very sharp pain. what can be causing this pain?

I have been having abdominal pain for the last week. The pain is more of a discomfort but also get sharp pain that lasts for a couple of minutes. I have had previous surgeries. The pain is around my navel and just above. I have 2 incisions inside the navel and one just above the navel. Thats where the pain is.  I have nauseaus all week and have vomited  5 times.
