Why would I have a 4mm calcium deposit in my thyroid. I had an ultrasound and that was my result. I can not find anything online about calcium deposits in the thyroid. My tsh tested almost hyperthyroid then about 6 years ago I was having trouble. I ate nothing worked out with a personal trainer for the hour that I could get out of bed and I was still gaining weight. My Dr did another tsh level and I was still in normal range but I was more than half way to hypothyroid. My dr at that point decided that while in normal range it was not normal for me, so he put me on syntharoid. I did better never the same as before but good. A couple years ago I started having trouble again not as severe but tired, weight gain, always COLD (I live in Hawaii and wear sweaters) I had a tsh level done and the Dr said it was ok I am not sure of the number but he ordered an ultrasound and the calcium deposit is the result.

Dr. Feld,
I have thought of you often, and hope that you are well. You may recall that we worked together when I was the General Manager of Disetronic Medical Systems.
I valued your friendship and guidance very highly, and hope to see you in the near future.
Very best regards,
Bob Cerza
