I so wish there had been a magazine like New Moon when I was a girl.
Seventeen years ago my childhood friend Nancy Gruver and her husband Joe Kelly (author of Dads&Daughters) founded New Moon to give girls an opportunity to speak out in an advertising-free publication of their own. New Moon is about self expression, poetry and art, self esteem,girl power, and positive body image for girls between the critical ages of 8 and 12. NO diet advice! And the magazine is actually written BY girls!New Moon is a terrific antidote to eating and body image disorders for future generations.
But like so many publications today, New Moon needs more subscribers and supporters. You can help by subscribing for the girls in your life. Each subscriber receives the bimonthly magazine and has access to New Moon's secure online media.
