That is a tough condition to deal with. Sometimes chiropractic can help...especially Biophysics technique. Checkout www.idealspine.com to find a doctor near you. You are disqualified from nonsurgical spinal decompression because of the Pars Defect.

Hello, Im 20years old and suffer with cronic lower back pain for a number of years, I recently had a Lumbar spine x-ray, and my results showed I had Spondylolisthesis of L5 - S1 with pars defects noted. the Doctor (who is not my GP) has assured me that it is not serious, but the pain is sometimes unbareable. What is your professional opinion?

Thank you

Lisa

i would have it checked by a doctor. i think you may be right,  it sounds like an allergic reaction which could be serious.

Hello.  My fiance has sudden swelling in her hands, possibly an allergic reaction.  Not sure what caused it, she didn't eat or touch or do anything different.  The swelling is contained in her hands, but she began to feel lightheaded.

Hi Lynda,

The first thing I would do is fill large bowl with ice from your ice maker or from the 7-11 and put a little water in there. Then I would put the bad hand in there for 15 minutes every hour or so. Dump some water out in between.  Do this for 48 hours.  Then, I would have a fellow massage therapist work on the hand a little and ice after. I would rest the hand for a few days and see how it feels. Keep me posted.
