Are You Pre-Hypertensive?

Posted Aug 26 2008 4:34pm

Hypertension (high blood pressure) is generally defined as having a blood pressure of 140/90 or above. You can still begin an exercise program with medical clearance. You are pre-hypertensive if you have a blood pressure reading around 130/80. You can try to avoid hypertension by beginning an exercise program. Medical clearance for exercise is also recommended for pre-hypertension. The lesson to be learned? try to avoid pre-hypertension and other medical conditions through regular exercise and proper nutrition.
