5-minute relay from hell!

Last night’s workout…where shall I begin?

As Suzanne put it, “ I feel like each workout is getting harder!

They are, ladies, they are!  Why?  Because y’all have proven to me that you can handle it!

I want to especially recognize Jessica and Kristie, who have both been sick.  You guys hung in there and didn’t slack off!

I have been having an absolute blast with y’all!  Last night was definitely the best yet!

Here’s the breakdown of the hour:

  1. Easy jog/walk 5 minutes
  2. Tabata “Chopper” sequence with 5-6 lb dumbbell – we completed two four-minute sequences!  KILLER!
  3. Speed Ladder Drills – 1 minute each of zig-zags, lateral zig-zags, in-in-out-out, and lateral shuffle; the ladies barely rested in between minutes!
  4. Five-Minute Relay from Hell – we went through one five-minute interval, and each camper was challenged to see how many rounds they could complete in this time.  One round equals: 15 Hindu Squats, then sprint 20 yards to do 10 T-Stabilization Rotations (5 per side), then sprint back.  Results below!
  5. Core work – Marching Bridges x 10 ea leg supersetted with Side Plank Raises x 10 ea side – 2 rounds
  6. Stretching! :)

Here’s footage of me explaining the speed ladder drills, then the ladies go through two one-minute rounds!

And last, but definitely NOT least, here’s the 5-Minute Relay from Hell!  (please excuse my “all over the place” camera handling…I feel it adds to the “fun”, lol)

Tori scored the highest on the “relay” game…she got 5 complete rounds!

Results:

  1. Tori – 5 rounds
  2. Tie – Christina & Tammy – 4 rounds + 15 squats
  3. Laura Beth – 4 rounds + 10 squats
  4. Jessica – 4 rounds + 5 squats
  5. Tie – Kristie & Suzanne – 4 rounds
  6. Lisa P. – 3 rounds + 10 T-Stabilization Rotations
