Oh how I am now doing my best to enjoy and make good use of my unexpected time off. I managed to get up early enough to get to the gym before the crowds poured in. For me I like to get to the gym at 5AM. The workouts were really good and I know that it all has to do with getting the proper sleep before tackling them.
I also feel a lot less stressed from what happened at work and like I said I am going to make good use for this time off.
So for this mornings Cardio I did:
- 35 minutes of Elliptical Trainer @ 2.10 miles, Level 25, Hill/Interval setting, Average speed of 3.61 mph & 643 calories burned.
- 73 minutes on Treadmill @4.12 miles, Average speed of 3.52mph. Used the Hill/Interval setting & 1114 calories burned.
- 18 minutes on Bike @ 4.29 miles, Level 10-12 & 265 calories burned.
So for this workout of 2 hours and 6 minutes & I burned about 2022 calories.
Now looking back at it boy that was one pretty good cardio workout. It looks like I am building up some endurance and that’s why I changed the setting on both the Elliptical and Treadmill. I really like the change and might stick with this way of doing cardio for the rest of this week and then maybe change it up a bit next week.
Then from there I met up with Chris to do the strength training part of the day. Today was leg day and I have to say that went pretty well too. I am just really feeling good about today and I think that plays a big part as well as to why I have this extra bit of energy.
For “Leg Day” we did:
- Leg Press with Dumbbell Presses (done together)
- Step ups
- Dead Lifts
- Lunges with Dumbbells
- Leg Curls
- Laps on Track
We did 3 sets of each and in this worked I burned about 945 calories.
Now I am finally at home chillin out a bit. I think that after I get some things done around her I’ll go out to the movies and then once I get back I’ll go to the pool and chill out there for a bit. After all i might as well take full advantage of these 100º temperatures.
Time for me to get going for now. I’ll be back later to post about my Eats for the day and to visit you all as well. Which I am really looking forward to.
