Grip Madness
Grip training is popular these days yet "bodybuilders" still question the need. I often here "it's only for athletes". Instead of aruging I just shake my head in agreement, you really can't confuse people with the facts. Fact is everyone needs grip work.
Why? Look at a bodybuilder deadlifting for reps, what usually fails first? The forearms or the hamstrings? Which muscle is weaker and undertrained? The forearms or the hamstrings? If you answers "forearms" on both of those, then you are correct. Think about it for the guy trying to look good naked, if he can't performing chin-ups or deadlifts for reps then he's not going to grow, he'll continually hit the wall.
Bring on the grip work. The newbie to grip work can benefit greatly from performing hammer curls, reverse curls and changing their grips on different sets of the same exercise but what happens when that isn't enough?
The answer" Ivanko's EZ-Grips handles are equal to Popeye before and after the spinach. These inexpensive and easy to use handles clip around a dumbbell or barbell and change the diameter of the object resulting in a wider gri[ and more recruitment of in the intended muscle. Add them in for 4 weeks and watch your forearms grow.
Plus chicks dig big forearms.
