Tonight, in lieu of shrimp kabobs, I wanted Pita Pit. I wanted some Pita Pit with all of my heart and was practically salivating when we pulled into the parking lot. To my dismay, they were OUT of whole wheat pitas. Strike two, Pita Pit. You have disappointed me greatly. In my sadness, we decided to try a new place that we've been scoping out since they opened a couple of weeks ago: Passage 2 India.

Normally I would not want to eat at a place with a number instead of the actual word in the business' name. This bothers me so much (is it a Type A thing??), just as much as when businesses purposely spell their names wrong or include backwards letters to make themselves more "kid-friendly" (I'm talking to you, Toys R Us). I digress, but desperate times call for desperate measures here in V-town where the dining selection is pretty limited, so we decided to check it out. I am so incredibly glad that we did.

I'm a spicy food lover (I eat jalapenos like any other fruit) and this place was right up my alley. Nothing was too spicy, just bursting with aromas and beautiful flavors and everything was cooked perfectly. To start out, we ordered the chili chicken and some whole wheat naan. The hubby got the lamb (I always think about How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days when he gets the lamb), and I got the curry chicken. Delicious and perfectly filling. Pita Pit is dead to me, especially when compared to that glorious fluffy naan.

To rewind our day a little bit, this afternoon I had a great circuit and cardio workout. Here's what it looked like:

Cardio and Circuit Training

1. 5 minute treadmill warm-up

2. V-rope pullbacks (70 lbs, 3 sets of 15)

3. Plie and Plie w toe raise (15 lbs, 3 sets of 15 total)

4. Incline chest press (20 lb barbell, 3 sets of 12)

5. 15 minutes on elliptical (2 minutes of resistance at 5 with a crossramp set at 5, followed by sprint intervals at 10 crossramp and 8 resistance)

6. Incline concentration curls (8 lbs each, 3 sets of 12)

7. Wall squats (Body weight, hold wall squat for 45 seconds 3 times)

8. Tricep extension machine (50 lbs, 3 sets of 12)

9. Bent over flyes (5 lbs each, 3 sets of 12)

10. Treadmill running intervals (1 minute of walking at 4.0 with 3.5 % incline, following by 1.5 minutes of running at 6.2 with same incline for a total of 15 minutes)

11. Romanian deadlifts (30 lb barbell, 3 sets of 12)

12. Seated overhead press (8 lbs each, 3 sets of 12)

13. Seated calf raises (20 lbs, 3 sets of 12)

14. 5 minute cooldown on the treadmill

Total time: 1 hour 25 minutes

I honestly wasn't planning on working out that hard today (I was feeling hot and icky when I got to the gym). When I was sitting in the car, thinking about treadmill hatred, a girl walked out of the gym red-faced and covered in sweat, like she got an awesome workout. That was all the motivation I needed!!!! I got my booty in there was ready to work :)

After the hubby met me at the gym, we went to Tropical Smoothie before going to the movies. I got a kid's strawberry and banana (84 cals), which was pretty good but Planet Smoothie is just so much better. We went to see The Dark Knight, which was pretty incredible. Very intense (I had to cover my eyes a few times!!) and I kinda have the heeby jeebies now. I think to make it even, the hubby needs to go see Mama Mia with me tomorrow ;)

Well I hope your Saturday was fabulous!!! I'm starting a new blog category tomorrow (hopefully ya'll will like it!!).

Take care!
