don't know why they are called burpees , they should be called barfies because burpees , or squat thrusts have got to be the best body weight conditioning exercise I have ever done. Today in Muay Thai class we did sets of burpees early in the class. Before the burpees I was cruising, but afterwords, I thought I was going to puke! We would do 10 burpees , jog, then 9, jog, on down to 6 which we did twice. The workout continued with sprints and such so I was drenched in sweat and breathing heavy by the end. If you need to improve your conditioning and hate running as much as a fat kid with bad ankles, then I highly recommend them. Check out this Beyond Burpees Video for more ideas .
