I went to the gym 1st to work my calves and legs. Probably not the best thing to do when I plan to run outside, especially when I ran yesterday on the treadmill. But the weather was just too beautiful not to try a run outside.

Gym Workout

Warmed up on the treadmill for 8 minutes

Calves & Hamstring routine

EZ bar Goodmornings someone was using the EZ bar so I used the 35 pound regular bar abd added 2.5 lb weights on each side. I did 2 sets of 12 then I got the EZ bar and put 12.5 pound weights on each side and did my remaining 2 sets of 12.

Seated weighted calf raise 2 sets of 65 count using 70 lbs, 2 sets of 70 using 90 lbs

Large Ball extensions 4 sets of 20 each

Multi-directional calf raises with 20 pound ankle weights on each leg plu s15 lb dumbbells in each hand, did 4 sets of 30 each direction ,each time.

I stretched and head outside to the sunshine and 57 degree weather wearing a tank top and capris—-got to try and it some sun while I am at it. I ran the 1st mile easy and then my right leg shin splint started hurting so then I ran a song walked a song. Went 1.5 more miles that way then the leg was really hurting us I walked fast the remaining mile and a half.

Total workout burned 1325 calories and total time was 2 hours and 2 minutes.

My leg was burning us I went to go ask the Chiropractor what was really wrong with my leg and they noticed that it was bruising were the shin splint was, meaning that it is inflamed. Good thing I knew my body and took it easy outdoors. I will take pain meds and not run again until middle of next week.

I will work out tomorrow. It is sexy shoulder day.
