I just got back from the gym and boy am I exhausted. All in a good way though. I had a pretty good cardio workout today and since I missed a day this week I did do a little extra to make up for it. I probably could have done more but I was real tired and getting a little light headed too. For some reason the gym was a bit warm inside and then too it was 110º outside so the 2 combined made it a bit harder. I did it though and I I’ll be back at it again on Sunday as well.
I also, last night, managed to get some reading done in my Personal Trainers Manual. that’s if you consider reading 10 pages reading. It’s really hard getting back at studying after so many years out of school. The thing is though that I’ll get it done page by page and it’s sure better than doing nothing productive.
Eating is also on track for today and yes it’s another day of nice clean eating. Yeah for me.
So todays cardio consisted of:
- 20 minutes of Elliptical Trainer @ 1.10miles, Level 25, Average speed of 3.26 mph & 525 calories burned.
- 70 minutes on Treadmill @3.90 miles, Average speed of 3.47 mph. I did Incline of 11% for 8 minutes and 13% fro 2 minutes-repeated 6 times. Then I didsome run/walk for 10 minutes at a variety of speeds. 900 calories burned.
So I did 1½ hours of cardio & burned 1425 calories.
Then it was on my way home for lunch, blogging, laudry and a little bit of meal prep for the next 2 days. like I said I am a bit busy and it’s something that I need to get use to and at the same time I need to manage my time more effiently as well. I’ll get there though. It’s all about balance and getting down what works for you.
For my eating today it was basically the same as yesterday. My meals were as follow:
Breakfast:
- Egg Whites with Onions, Broccoli and Cauliflower
- ½Cup Oatmeal with cinnamon
Snack:
Lunch:
- Grilled Salmon
- Steamed Green beans
- ½ Sweet Potato
Snack:
Supper:
- Grilled Chicken
- Raw Cabbage, Broccoli, Cauliflower, & Cucumbers with lemon and 1T Udo oil
So that was and continues to be some good eats for me. I love the addition of the sweet potato. It adds a bit of variety to my meal and they are so yummy and yet nutrious.
I better get going. Thanks for stopping by and as always I appreciate your awesome comments.
