My So So workout for 6/26/2009

Posted Nov 04 2009 10:02pm

dumbbell_exercises_front_raise Well this wasn’t a great workout. That’s all I can say about that. My cardio was not up to par and the strength training with Chris could have been better. I guess I should just be pleased and proud that I went and did something for 2 hours, but that’s not what I am feeling. I do expect more of myself and I am just having a hard time living up to my own standards.

Well this is how it went for cardio:

  • 31 minutes of Elliptical Trainer @ 2.04 miles, Level 16 & 17, Average speed 3.92 mph, & 591 calories burned.
  • 30 minutes of Treadmill @ 1.60 miles,  Average speed 3.20 mph, Incline 5-8% & 440 calories burned.

So I did 61 minutes and burned only 1031 calories. :-(

From there I was then off to Train with Chris and today was arms and shoulders day. Of course like I have mentioned many times it’s the weakest part of my body and need to see major improvement, which I am not seeing at all.  I did what I could though but still am major disappointed in what I CAN’T lift.

So we did and hopefully I can remember everything.

  1. 4 sets with 20 reps per set of:
  • Dumbbell curls with shoulder presses
  • Straight Barbell curls
  • Plate shoulder press
  • Skull crushers
  • Dumbbell flies
  • Front Dumbbell Raises
  • 1 lap around the track

So that wrapped up that workout and off to home I went disappointed in my lack of progress, but glad that I was till motivated enough to get to the gym and do something productive. I know have Saturday off from my workout and hope to hit it full force on Sunday and try to do 90 minutes of cardio.

Until then continue to have a great, healthy and safe week-end.
