Read the following article about obesity in America, it is alarming. The worst part of it is that nobody cares.
My daughter and I were watching a movie the other night and one of the characters was so obese that her head had actually disappeared. From the shoulders up was nothing more than a glob of fat with the nose sticking out and two little eyes fighting to see past the mounds of fat slowly creeping up her skull.(this wasn't a fat suit, it was her) I was so disgusted by this that I made the comment, "that person just doesn't care", and in turn my daughter turned to me and said I was mean.
From my daughters point of view I was being insensitive, and maybe I was, because I meant to be. Everybody is so concerned in this country about offending a particular class of people instead of crying foul when something should be said.
An obese person that is trying to change their ways are my heroes.
An obese person with a snow shovel at the Country Buffet is just that,
someone that doesn't give a damn.
