Hey hey hey!!! TGIAF! It’s almost the weekend and by tonight I will be in beautiful, civilized Orlandy. I can’t wait :D
Yesterday’s lonchi was an enormous salad:

(Goat cheese and Annie’s Lite Honey Mustard dressing)
And a smoothie while I web-chatted with my pilot:

(I used a pic from the archives because the one I took was hideously blurry)
The smoothie had brown rice chocolate protein, 1 cup organic fat free milk, cinnamon, a frozen banana, 1/2 cup ice
I went back to work to TA two more classes, then came home for some juicy delicious cantaloupe:

B-nut squash fries:

I packed up my 4 water bottles, made new cds, then went to teach spin and Zumba.
I brought this to have in between classes:

It tasted like DEATH, but totally gave me to carb replenishment and extra energy boost I needed. I have two more to try, so we’ll see what the final assessment is….
Spin and Zumba were wonderful –I really look forward to Wednesday night- and both classes were totally packed. I’m so happy that after starting teaching in September, my classes are FINALLY to where I want them to be.
The best part about Wednesday nights??? INDIAN with the girls!
We went to Passage 2 India, our usual spot.
I got the Gina Spinach (which the owner said we could name after me since he created it according to my requests a couple of weeks ago) and it’s veggies (peas, green beans and carrots) in a creamy spinach sauce:

Delicious fluffy whole wheat naan:

Megan got the Baighan Bharta:

And we shared:

AJ and Jeni both got the chili chicken, which was my favorite back in the meat-eating days of yore:

I came back to the casa, did some laundry (blah), actually studied, and crashed out.
There were crazy thunderstorms last night!!! The thunder woke me up around 4:00am and I thought it was someone knocking at the door, which seriously freaked me out. The dogs would have been barking their little heads off if someone was there, and they were both crashed out, so I realized it was just the storm.
This morning I had two egg whites with a sprinkle of goat cheese:

Oat bran with 1/2 scoop vanilla protein, cinnamon and almond butter:

I took the puppies to the base trail for a long walk, ran some errands and had a Pure Protein cinabon square from Aimee.
I seriously adore these bars. The only bad thing about them is that they’re pretty small. I feel like I could easily eat 3 of them.

SO delicious!
I gave Viesa a bath since my friend AJ is watching her this weekend—she smells like a little coconut.
I had two cups of Joe and an espresso cup of granola with milk:

I’m off to get ready for work, come back and pack, teach step, drop Viesa off at AJs, and then Megan and I will be on the road to Orlando!!!
See ya with a Friday shenanigan re-cap :D
Have a wonderful day!
xoxo,
G
Today’s Tip: Homework or TV time is a great excuse to sneak in a short workout. I’m a fairly antsy person and it’s hard for me to sit still for long periods of time. So while I’m watching a favorite TV show or doing homework, during each commercial, or when I finish a section in a chapter, I get up and do some calisthenics or toning moves. It works great for commercials, because during each commercial, I’ll do a different move. Jumping jacks, crunches, squats, burpees, lunges, planks, push-ups, calf raises, wall sits, leg lifts, all things that can be done at home. This way, you can get your heart rate up, tone, and burn a few extra calories while watching your favorite show or studying. Remember, every little bit counts :D
