Taking Time Off

Everyone needs time off, it's a fact. That's what I'm doing now, I've been dieting pretty hard and increasing my training intensity and my body felt it. You know that feeling

-Everything seems heavy

-You don't have that extra desire to train

-Going to the gym is like a chore

-You just don't want to eat that extra chicken breast

It's alot rolled into one and while I won't get into all of the technical aspects of adernal fatigue(that'll be an article soon) or of overtraining, what I will say is that we need time to grow and to drop fat. It's so stupid that everyone says "Oh I need to train or else" or else what? If you've been dieting down hard and been busting your ass in the gym, then get the hell out for a few days.

Training is stress and as much as we want to ignore that fact we need to realize that training does lower our growth hormone, it can deplete us of importance thyroid hormones and a whole hosr of other hormonal factors. The thing is no one pays attention to that, everyone wants to look throw rose colored glasses.

Get out of the gym, take a few days off to think about how you train, rest, reload and grow.
