What Have I Been Doing…

Posted Oct 26 2009 11:00pm

Well it could take less time to tell you what I have been doing! As you might know I am a Fitness Professional in Longmont Colorado where I run my Fit Chick Express business. It’s a women’s only  boot camp. I started it with 4 members back in May of 2008 and now I am up to 2 different locations and over 20 members. I LOVE what I do and LOVE helping women transform their bodies and minds and become exactly who they want to be!

Sorry, got off on a tangent there….so with the Fit Chick Express, I have 12 separate classes in two locations. Along with that, I do Morning Preschool 10 times a month, with 6 toddlers. I also have a few semi private training clients whom I train in my home as well.

Now that is just the things that I do in the offline world….

In the online world, I have 3 blogs; Fat Burning Tips 4 Women, Angie’s Fitness Ramblings (personal blog) and Fit Chick Express blog. I also run a Workout  Membership Club and a FREE Women’s Support Forum.

Now I am not telling you this to make you feel sorry for me, but for you to realize why I might not get posts done here as often. Sometimes, my offline world needs to come first. But I am going to try and share what I share with my clients and Fit Chick members here as well or direct you to someplace for some great information.

So now that you know what I am doing in the business sense, her is an update into the personal side of my life.

I joined the Lose 10 Pounds for the Holidays Challenge 3 weeks ago and while I get my workouts in ( and then some) I have been struggling with my nutrition. Being a trainer, I know that most of the results I will get are going to come from what I put into my body, not what I am trying to burn out of it.  And what I have been putting into it has been stress related foods… and not such great choices.

I am still maintaining my current weight and measurements, but that is not what I joined the challenge for. I need to push myself to reach those goals I have set for myself over and over and still have not achieved them. Why? I am just not sure. Maybe its because while I am not completely satisfied with how my body looks, I could live with it. Maybe I don’t have enough motivation behind what I need to do. I guess that is something I need to look at and maybe think about some more. There are times when I go to teach a class and wonder what my members think of me. That sometimes motivates me more…knowing that in a way, I am a role model and they look at me and can trust me because I am making changes myself and have a nice and fit body.

But I also want them to know that I am human. I do not have any “super powers” over food or exercise and I too struggle from day to day with my fitness goals. But instead I try to create a healthy lifestyle for myself that I can follow for years to come without starving myself or feeling unhealthy.

So…anyways..just wanted to let you know what I have been doing…. :0)
