What is body fat?

With the warm weather here, everyone is talking about dropping "body fat". I figured, I'd lend some insight into what "body fat" actually is since knowing the difference can be the difference between looking good and looking great.

Visceral fat is the fat that surrounds your organs, it more or less gives the pregant look since it makes your gut stick out. Men typically have more visceral fat then women since testosterone and cortisol promote its accumulation

The fat that people are more concerned with is subcutaneous fat, found under the skin. In men it will be around the waist and low back and in women around the hips and thighs. This difference is simply do to the sex hormone difference in men and women.

So what do we do about it? Subcutaneous fat going to to easily come off, alittle aerobic work, alittle dieting and we'll be ok. Visceral fat is going to be more diet related, are we snacking alot? How's our stress level?

There's the difference and what to do about it, take actions...get it done.
