Workout Frequency

Posted Mar 05 2008 6:53am 1 Comment

Since I retired three years ago, working out has become my main hobby. I find there are so many benefits. Physical, mental, and spiritual. It is nice when younger people come up to you and state that they hope that they can be as fit when they are sixty. Very humbling.

I workout on the average of 2.5 hours a day five days a week. Much cross traiing. I am looking forward to some phyical challenges such as running or biking, hiking. Any suggestion?

What a great hobby! Mine is sitting on my butt scrapbooking, though if I had more opportunity in the area I live in, I'd add more yoga for sure. Working out really does contribute to my physical, mental, and spiritual state. 5 days a week is really something! I always find I need downtime to let my body rest (Muay Thai kickboxing conditioning regimens are intense) but if my workouts had the right balance, I suppose it would work out fine. I can't make any suggestions, unless you'd like to look into Muay Thai (there are classes for all levels), but I did want to say I admire your drive!
