Mayan Potatoes

Posted Apr 27 2009 10:00pm

Mayan potatoes have been developed in Scotland from an ancient variety which was brought back from Peru.

Mayan potatoes:

  • have more flavour than normal spuds
  • bulk up on water
  • are quicker to cook - saving time and energy
  • yield less than  conventional potatoes

There are several varieties of Mayan potato, including:

Mayan Gold
Mayan Queen
Mayan Twilight

Mayan potatoes cook in a third less time than ‘conventional’ potatoes & have an excellent flavour.
